About Me

Who’s Hambel?

Fun fact: In the 1960s and 1970s, my Grandpa Hambel did gospel magic and that was his advertising campaign.  “Who’s Hambel?”  They had t-shirts made.  And psychedelic suit jackets.  As I was Heather Hambel prior to getting married, I have stolen this catchphrase  and would also steal the t-shirts and psychedelic jackets if I could.

Little Round Top

This is an old picture.

Anyway, I’m in my dirty thirties, which means I was born in the previous century.  I have anxiety.  I’m a mom to two boys, have a full time day job; I’m a perfectionist and an overachiever.

Coincidentally, I’m also a quitter, as in the span of my thirty-something years I have quit:

  • Ballet
  • Piano lessons
  • Flute
  • Sorority
  • Puppeteering
  • Going to the gym

I’m a Pittsburgh girl and went to college there, graduating with a Communications degree way back in 2004.  I, of course, don’t work in that field, but I have the same man (The Hubs), the same car (holla Chevy Cavalier!), and paid off my student loans since then.  So.  You know, that’s nice.

If my brain was a room, it would be pink and glittery, with suede lounges, beaded curtains, lava lamps, and disco balls.  It would probably smell faintly of Nutella.  However, right in the middle of the room would be a big, angled black leather couch with Loki and Bucky Barnes perched on the edge, looking all dark and seductive.

At no point, will I ever attempt to give the impression that I’m sane.

A recent picture!

I’m a fake red-head.  I’m unfiltered when it comes to my unhealthy obsession with anything a girl can fangirl over.  And I’m obsessed with tattoos.
I also enjoy Harry Styles, Red Dead Redemption II, chinese food, running, sarcasm, and Marvel. I don’t enjoy high-waisted pants, the dentist, climbing ladders, or soy sauce.

Other than that, I was pretty dull and indoors-y most of my life until I hit my 30s and was like, hey, I pay my taxes.  Let’s do this!

I’m not actually sure what **this**is, but hey.  Grab a cocktail or some coffee and a dessert and let’s enjoy the ride.

**NEW** I now have a YouTube Channel!  Check out my serial “The Lost Diary of Lady X” by clicking here!
